Proxies for finding fakes and brand abuse
Counterfeiters know when a brand is watching. A listing that disappears for a corporate visitor is often still live for a shopper browsing from home.
Which proxy is best for brand protection?
For brand protection, use residential proxies in each country where your products are sold. Counterfeit sellers and copycat sites often hide from visitors who look like companies, so your checks should come from ordinary household addresses in every market.
Browse like a buyer
A household address in the right country shows what local buyers see: the listings, the prices and the sellers behind them.
Change IP between checks
Rotate so a seller cannot spot one visitor returning to the same pages again and again.
Do not forget phones
Some offers only appear on mobile. A carrier IP shows the page as phone users get it.
Save the evidence
Keep every page with the date, the IP it came through and the country. Marketplaces and lawyers will ask for exactly that.
Recommended proxy types
Setting it up in four steps
- Order the smallest Residential plan (one gigabyte) as a trial. Pay with crypto and it is delivered automatically.
- Take the host
resi.proxies.boo, port8080, and your username and password from the plan page. - Set the exit country with a code in the username, like
USERNAME-country-us. - Point the job at your real target. Working? Top up the same plan. Blocked? Move to the next proxy type listed above.

Brand protection: common questions
Why do fake listings disappear when I look?
Sellers block company networks and known datacenter ranges, and some only show a listing in certain countries. A household IP in the right country is treated as a customer.
How often should marketplaces be checked?
Takedowns come back fast, so frequent checks beat deep ones. A daily sweep of the main marketplaces in each country is a good start.
