How to set up a proxy in AntBrowser

AntBrowser is an antidetect browser for multi-accounting, with profiles that each hold a fingerprint, cookies and a proxy.

Which proxy works best with AntBrowser?

Residential proxies, one sticky session for each profile.

Proxy settings for AntBrowser: host, port and login

A BooProxies plan gives you four things: a host, a port, a username and a password. These are the values for Residential; the username and password are on your plan page.

Hostresi.proxies.boo
HTTP port8080
SOCKS5 port1080
UsernameUSERNAME
Passwordfrom your plan page

As one line:

resi.proxies.boo:8080:USERNAME:PASSWORD

The country and the session are chosen in the username, not in a separate setting. The generator on your plan page writes the username for you, and Targeting and sessions explains each part.

AntBrowser proxy setup, step by step

  1. Create a profile.
  2. Go to the proxy settings and choose a custom proxy. Set the type to HTTP (port 8080) or SOCKS5 (port 1080).
  3. Enter the host resi.proxies.boo, the port, your username and your password, each in its own field.
  4. Press the proxy check. It should come back with an IP address in the country you chose in the username.
  5. Save the profile and start it. Open an IP-check page inside the profile to confirm the address once more.

Menu names can differ a little between versions of AntBrowser. The four values to enter are always the same.

Rotating or sticky sessions for AntBrowser?

Give each AntBrowser profile a sticky session of its own, so the profile comes back from the same IP address each time it is opened. One profile, one session ID: a session ID shared by two profiles gives them the same address, which links them. Rotating on every request suits scraping, not an account that is meant to look like one person.

A sticky username looks like this:

USERNAME-country-us-time-600-session-a1b2c3d4

AntBrowser proxy not working?

  • Images and video are most of a page's weight. If a profile only needs to click through forms, blocking media saves a large share of your gigabytes.
  • A 407 error means the username or password was not accepted. Copy both again from your plan page, and check that nothing added a space or cut the username short.
  • If the IP address is in the wrong country, look at the username: the country code is part of it. More fixes.
