Fixing problems
Begin with the test button on the plan page. Because it runs from our servers, it shows straight away whether the fault is in the plan or in your setup.
407 Proxy Authentication Required
- Look for stray spaces in the username or password, and make sure the password is this plan's.
- Just changed the password? Give it two minutes to take effect.
- Confirm on the plan page that traffic or time remains.
Timeouts
- Double-check host and port: HTTP and SOCKS5 have separate ports, and every proxy type has its own host.
- Some networks block uncommon outbound ports. Try another network, or a server.
- On IPv6 proxies, the destination site has to support IPv6.
Wrong exit country
- Use two lowercase letters, like
country-de. - State and city are Residential-only and need a country in front.
- Geo databases often disagree; compare a few before blaming the proxy.
Sticky IP keeps changing
- Send the identical session value with every request.
- Check the session and time order for your proxy type in Countries and sessions.
- Household and mobile lines can disconnect, which moves the session to a new IP.
Still blocked by a site
No proxy is welcome everywhere. Climb one level: datacenter to residential, residential to mobile. Also send fewer requests per second and use realistic browser headers.
429s and captchas
- A
429is the website saying you exceeded its limit, not a proxy fault. Pause, then lower your concurrency. - On rotating plans, make sure each request truly opens a new connection; otherwise several share one IP.
- Lots of captchas usually mean the site distrusts that IP type or your browser fingerprint. Switching proxy type beats adding more IPs.
SSL and certificate errors
- The proxy URL starts with
http://, neverhttps://, even for https sites. - Antivirus software and corporate firewalls sometimes intercept connections and break them. Test from another device or network.
