How to set up a proxy in GeeLark

GeeLark is an antidetect phone: it runs Android cloud phones, each with its own device fingerprint, alongside ordinary browser profiles.

Why does GeeLark need a proxy?

A cloud phone is a real Android system in a data centre. Without a proxy its traffic leaves from the data centre, which is not where a phone is expected to be.

Which proxy works best with GeeLark?

Mobile proxies are the best match for GeeLark cloud phones. Residential proxies are a good second choice, and they are fine for its browser profiles.

Proxy settings for GeeLark: host, port and login

A BooProxies plan gives you four things: a host, a port, a username and a password. These are the values for Mobile; the username and password are on your plan page.

Hostmobile.proxies.boo
HTTP port8080
SOCKS5 port1080
UsernameUSERNAME-mobile-true-package-mobile
Passwordfrom your plan page

As one line:

mobile.proxies.boo:8080:USERNAME-mobile-true-package-mobile:PASSWORD

The country and the session are chosen in the username, not in a separate setting. The generator on your plan page writes the username for you, and Targeting and sessions explains each part.

GeeLark proxy setup, step by step

  1. Create a new cloud phone profile.
  2. In the proxy section of the form, choose a custom proxy and set the type to HTTP (port 8080) or SOCKS5 (port 1080).
  3. Enter the host mobile.proxies.boo, the port, your username and your password.
  4. Run the proxy check, then create the phone.
  5. Start the phone and open an IP-check page in its browser to confirm the address.

Menu names can differ a little between versions of GeeLark. The four values to enter are always the same.

Rotating or sticky sessions for GeeLark?

Give each GeeLark profile a sticky session of its own, so the profile comes back from the same IP address each time it is opened. One profile, one session ID: a session ID shared by two profiles gives them the same address, which links them. Rotating on every request suits scraping, not an account that is meant to look like one person.

A sticky username looks like this:

USERNAME-country-us-mobile-true-package-mobile-session-a1b2c3d4-time-short

GeeLark proxy not working?

  • Apps inside a cloud phone use data in the background. A phone left running uses gigabytes even when you are not touching it.
  • A 407 error means the username or password was not accepted. Copy both again from your plan page, and check that nothing added a space or cut the username short.
  • If the IP address is in the wrong country, look at the username: the country code is part of it. More fixes.
