Using your own proxies with NopeCHA

NopeCHA solves captchas with a browser extension and with an API. The extension works inside your browser; the API's token requests can take a proxy.

Why does NopeCHA need a proxy?

Many sites tie a captcha token to the IP address that asked for it. If the service solves from its own address and you submit from yours, the token can be refused. Passing your proxy to the service makes both come from one address.

Which proxy works best with NopeCHA?

A residential proxy with a sticky session. With the extension, the proxy is simply the one your browser or browser profile already uses.

Proxy settings for NopeCHA: host, port and login

A BooProxies plan gives you four things: a host, a port, a username and a password. These are the values for Residential; the username and password are on your plan page.

Hostresi.proxies.boo
HTTP port8080
SOCKS5 port1080
UsernameUSERNAME
Passwordfrom your plan page

The country and the session are chosen in the username, not in a separate setting. The generator on your plan page writes the username for you, and Targeting and sessions explains each part.

NopeCHA proxy setup, step by step

  1. With the extension: set the proxy in the browser profile, not in NopeCHA. The extension solves inside the page, so it is already on your IP address.
  2. With the token API: add your proxy to the request in the form its API reference describes, using the host, port, username and password from the table.
  3. Use the same sticky username for the request that submits the token.

Rotating or sticky sessions for NopeCHA?

Use a sticky session, and give NopeCHA exactly the same username you use for your own requests. The session ID in the username is what keeps both on one IP address. With a rotating username the token is solved from one address and submitted from another, and sites that check this reject it.

A sticky username looks like this:

USERNAME-country-us-time-600-session-a1b2c3d4

NopeCHA proxy not working?

  • Because the extension works in the page, there is nothing to match: the solve and the submit come from the same browser.
  • A 407 error means the username or password was not accepted. Copy both again from your plan page, and check that nothing added a space or cut the username short.
  • If the IP address is in the wrong country, look at the username: the country code is part of it. More fixes.
