How to set up a proxy in Vision

Vision is an antidetect browser used by affiliate and traffic teams to run many accounts in separate profiles.

Which proxy works best with Vision?

Residential proxies for most profiles, mobile proxies for social platforms.

Proxy settings for Vision: host, port and login

A BooProxies plan gives you four things: a host, a port, a username and a password. These are the values for Residential; the username and password are on your plan page.

Hostresi.proxies.boo
HTTP port8080
SOCKS5 port1080
UsernameUSERNAME
Passwordfrom your plan page

As one line:

resi.proxies.boo:8080:USERNAME:PASSWORD

The country and the session are chosen in the username, not in a separate setting. The generator on your plan page writes the username for you, and Targeting and sessions explains each part.

Vision proxy setup, step by step

  1. Create a profile.
  2. Go to the proxy field and add a new proxy and choose a custom proxy. Set the type to HTTP (port 8080) or SOCKS5 (port 1080).
  3. Paste the whole line resi.proxies.boo:8080:USERNAME:PASSWORD into the host field. The port, username and password fill in by themselves. If they do not, type them into their own fields.
  4. Press the proxy check. It should come back with an IP address in the country you chose in the username.
  5. Save the profile and start it. Open an IP-check page inside the profile to confirm the address once more.

Menu names can differ a little between versions of Vision. The four values to enter are always the same.

Rotating or sticky sessions for Vision?

Give each Vision profile a sticky session of its own, so the profile comes back from the same IP address each time it is opened. One profile, one session ID: a session ID shared by two profiles gives them the same address, which links them. Rotating on every request suits scraping, not an account that is meant to look like one person.

A sticky username looks like this:

USERNAME-country-us-time-600-session-a1b2c3d4

Vision proxy not working?

  • When creating profiles in bulk, prepare one proxy line per profile first, each with its own session ID.
  • A 407 error means the username or password was not accepted. Copy both again from your plan page, and check that nothing added a space or cut the username short.
  • If the IP address is in the wrong country, look at the username: the country code is part of it. More fixes.
